Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat met with the Iraqi Ambassador to Ankara, Majid Abdul Ridha Hassan Al-Lachmawi, in Ankara on Wednesday.

The meeting centered on strengthening cooperation under the Development Road Project and discussing steps to increase bilateral trade volume to $30 billion. Omer Bolat stated that the discussions included efforts to implement agreements reached during Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falih al-Zeydi's visit to Turkey last month.

Bolat also stated that the parties consulted on resolving issues faced by Turkish exporters. He noted that Iraq ranked fifth among Turkey's export markets.
