Lorena Wiebes won the opening stage of the Tour de France Femmes in Lausanne, Switzerland, following a 138 km course. The 27-year-old Dutch rider secured the first yellow jersey of the race after the stage concluded with a time of 3:29:11.
Wiebes finished ahead of Mauritian rider Kim Le Court, who took second place, and European champion Demi Vollering, who finished third. Following the stage, Wiebes led the overall standings by four seconds over Le Court and six seconds over Vollering.
