Boston Scientific reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of approximately $5.4 billion, a 7.5% increase year-over-year, according to the company's earnings presentation.
The cardiovascular segment, which includes devices such as the FARAPULSE pulsed field ablation system, generated about $3.6 billion, an 8.3% year-over-year increase. The medsurg business contributed $1.8 billion, with endoscopy at $793 million, urology at $684 million, and neuromodulation at $341 million.
The company revised its full-year 2026 outlook. It now expects sales growth of approximately 5.5% to 6.5%, down from an initial forecast of 7% to 8.5%. The adjusted earnings per share outlook was lowered to $3.28-$3.32 from $3.34-$3.41.
Boston Scientific announced a global restructuring programme, disclosed in a 27 July 2026 SEC filing, expected to be completed by the end of 2029. The plan is projected to cost between $700 million and $800 million, with $600 million to $700 million in future cash outlays, and aims to reduce annual pre-tax expenses by approximately $500 million.
Following the announcement, Boston Scientific's share price fell over 5% to $42.67 on 29 July 2026 from a previous close of $46.06. The company's market capitalization stands at $66.25 billion.
