DHL is acquiring Venipak Group under a contract signed on Monday. The transaction brings the regional courier fully under the umbrella of DHL Group’s DHL eCommerce division.

DHL eCommerce will acquire 100 percent of Venipak's shares. The deal includes Venipak's branches in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. The shares are acquired directly from Venipak Group's current owner, Nerijus Raudonis.

Venipak operates a network that includes approximately 800 parcel lockers. Through this acquisition, Venipak's Baltic customers will gain access to DHL eCommerce's global network, which comprises over 165,000 parcel lockers and pick-up points.

Integration and future plans

DHL plans to invest in Venipak's employees and expand the parcel locker network. The company also intends to increase the sorting capacity of key terminals and develop IT infrastructure.

After the transaction, Nerijus Raudonis plans to focus on the development of the investment platform Stokex and its global asset management.
