Sandoz has agreed to pay $450 million to settle antitrust claims with 43 US states, according to various reports.
Sandoz reached the agreement to resolve allegations of engaging in a conspiracy to artificially inflate and manipulate generic drug prices and harm consumers by reducing competition. Detailed breakdowns indicate the total settlement amount is $478.5 million.

Under the terms of the agreement, Sandoz will pay $400 million over seven years, beginning in 2027, to resolve all remaining claims by US states in three pending cases. An additional payment of approximately $50 million will be made to US states that settled earlier.
The company will also pay $28.5 million to resolve all remaining class-action litigation brought by indirect resellers. Sandoz did not admit to any wrongdoing regarding the settlement.
Other companies, including Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Lannett, Bausch, Apotex, and Heritage Pharmaceuticals, have collectively settled lawsuits for nearly $98 million.
