The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for July 2026 was 1.78% monthly and 31.75% annually.
Turkish Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek stated that disinflation continues despite challenging global and geopolitical conditions. He noted that risks arising from geopolitical developments are being managed effectively. (Note: There is a slight discrepancy between TÜİK's announced figure of 31.75% and the Minister's stated figure of 31.8%).
Şimşek stated that annual inflation in July fell by 0.4 points compared to the previous month to 31.8%. He added that rigidity in service inflation is decreasing due to the effects of the disinflation process and measures taken.

According to Şimşek, annual inflation for education decreased by 31 points and for rent decreased by 34 points compared to the same month last year.
