Turkey's defense and aerospace industry exports reached $11.2 billion over the last 12 months, according to data announced by Haluk Görgün, the President of the Presidency of Defense Industries.
In July, the sector's exports amounted to $1.12 billion, representing a 14.4% increase compared to the same month last year.
Total defense and aerospace exports from January to July, up 26.2% year-on-year.
Haluk Görgün announced the export data via a social media post, stating that the industry continued its rise in exports during July.
Görgün attributed the growing export figures to the collective effort of the defense industry ecosystem and characterized the figures as the global counterpart of Turkey's engineering power.
